Donald Trump shockingly invites Bryson DeChambeau on stage, jokes with him during victory speech

Despite Donald Trump and Bryson DeChambeau teaming up for an episode of ‘Breaking 50’ on YouTube this summer, one can confidently say that nobody saw this coming.

Minutes after winning the 2024 U.S. presidential election over Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump invited the reigning U.S. Open champion to join him, his family, and his campaign staff on stage during his victory speech in Florida.

“You know we have the U.S. Open champion. He’s a fantastic golfer, slightly longer than me, hits the ball a little bit longer than me. Just a little bit,” Trump said.

“Bryson DeChambeau is up here somewhere.”

A capacity crowd in South Florida then gave a thunderous applause in support of DeChambeau, who has arguably become the most popular golfer on the planet not named Tiger Woods. But it took him a minute to find his way to the stage.

“Where is he?” Trump asked.

“Bryson? He’s hitting balls. Oh, he’s on the way. He’s hitting balls. Bryson?”

DeChambeau then appeared on the scene a little before 3 a.m. ET early Wednesday morning. He proceeded to shake hands with those on stage while donning a black ‘Make America Great Again’ hat but did not make his way to the lectern where Trump was delivering remarks.

“Aw, look at him,” Trump added.

“He’s got a great career going. Great U.S. Open, Bryson. Fantastic job.”
