Las Vegas Aces cut Harvard star, veteran center as WNBA teams trim rosters

The Las Vegas Aces have cut two players after their latest preseason game — rookie guard Harmoni Turner and veteran forward Queen Egbo.

Turner was the Aces’ third-round pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft; she was the 34th overall pick after a standout career at Harvard in which she averaged 18.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. In her senior season, she shot 43% from the field and 35.6% from three.

Egbo, meanwhile, was the 10th overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft. She spent her first two seasons on the Indiana Fever and has also enjoyed stints on the Washington Mystics, Connecticut Sun, Los Angeles Sparks, and Las Vegas Aces. In her three-year WNBA career, she’s averaged 5.5 points and 4.9 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per game.

In Tuesday’s preseason win over the Phoenix Mercury, Turner played 11 minutes, scoring 4 points and tallying a steal and a rebound. Egbo, meanwhile, played 5 minutes off the bench.

Last week, Aces head coach Becky Hammon praised Turner after the first day of training camp.

“Harmoni’s presence — her vibe, her energy — she’s like a ray of sunshine in any room she walks into,” Hammon said, per Taylor Rocha. “She’s easy to be around, she plays hard.”
