Cynthia Nixon is just like Us and actually uses her kitchen to — spoiler alert — cook!
“This is my kitchen in Montauk. I’m about to serve up some coffee,” Nixon, 59, said in a video shared via Instagram on Monday, May 5, while bringing milk to a boil in her New York home.
The Sex and the City alum, who was wearing an orange apron over her purple top and printed skirt, proceeded to show off her surprisingly normal (and small) kitchen to her followers.
“These are my pots and pans and my colanders,” she pointed out, turning the camera to a white wall with hanging pots set over the stove.

As she made her way around the small space, Nixon revealed clean dishes in a drying rack on one counter near the sink and clutter on a nearby countertop. Wood cabinets lined both walls with two shelves worth of vases sitting atop.
“This is all my vases because there’s a lot of flowers in the garden,” Nixon shared, after pointing out her basket hanging from the window that she uses to collect flowers and other garden finds like kale.
The And Just Like That … actress showed off a bowl of the vegetable from her garden, calling the kale “very delicious and very fresh.”
In addition to storing her vases above the cabinets, her open shelves revealed a lobster pot and baskets, which Nixon said were for “bread or biscuits or toast.”

When it came to her counter space each surface was filled to the brim. “Here’s my garlic oil,” she said, holding up a glass bottle that was hidden among other condiments on the counter.
“Here’s my tea. It’s very important, very precious,” she added, highlighting a jar of sun tea that was on a pad next to the stove.
Once Nixon made it back to the stove to check on her coffee, she poured the homemade foam in a teacup and added in the Italian coffee roast she brewed. She added a dash of cinnamon to taste. “Yum!” Nixon said with a smile.
The actress captioned the home video, “I think I need a few more vases (and an in-home hair stylist) 💈,” poking fun at her collection.

Fans, however, had nothing but great things to say about the refreshing kitchen tour and Nixon’s relaxed style.
“Finally, a celebrity kitchen that looks like someone uses it!” one user wrote in the comments. “This is the most wholesome thing I’ve seen online in a very long time!👏😍💜,” another person replied.
A third user applauded Nixon’s aesthetic, writing, “Love that you have a REAL kitchen 😂❤️.”
“This is the best thing I’ve seen all day! Love how well used your pots and pans are and can see the sign that you actually use the kitchen, often,” a separate fan commented. “Love that you grow your own kale! I would love to see your veggie garden 🙌❤️🥰💕.”

One fan even admitted it “might sound weird” to say, but they were happy to “finally [see] a celebrity kitchen that looks like a normal kitchen and clearly gets used! Love you @cynthiaenixon!!!❤️❤️❤️.”
