Dua Lipa has earned her spot in the fashion big leagues, as evidenced by her red carpet look at the 2025 Met Gala — and she didn’t come alone.
The pop star, 29, was on hand for the Monday, May 5, event — which had a theme of “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” — at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Lipa stepped out in NYC with her boyfriend, Callum Turner, marking their red carpet debut. The “Dance the Night” singer donned a long, black dress with feathers on the skirt and a sexy halter bodice as she hit the red carpet. She topped off the saucy look with sheer black gloves, diamonds around her neck and her hair in a chic updo. Turner, meanwhile, chose a simple black suit, white undershirt and white tie for the occasion.

Prior to Monday’s event, Lipa had been to the Met Gala three times. Upon her 2019 debut, she stood out in a colorfully printed Atelier Versace ball gown with an exaggerated beehive hairstyle. She returned to the event in 2023 to serve as a cochair and looked stunning in a white Chanel bridal ball gown that was previously worn by Claudia Schiffer to close out the brand’s 1995-1996 runway show. She took an edgier turn with her 2024 ensemble, a feathered black lace Marc Jacobs dress that resembled elaborate lingerie.
Lipa’s most recent gala appearance comes after months of speculation that she is engaged to Turner, 35, to whom she was first romantically linked in January 2024. The rumors began in December 2024, when she posted Instagram photos wearing what appeared to be a diamond ring on her left hand.
In the months that followed, Lipa fueled the speculation fire by concealing her ring finger under a Chanel cape at the brand’s Paris Fashion Week show in January. She later posted more Instagram photos, showing off a diamond ring — again — on her left hand.

While Lipa and Turner have kept a relatively low-profile since they began dating, a source exclusively told Us Weekly in March 2024 that the pair are “very serious about one another.”
“Dua and Callum spend almost all their time together and are nearly inseparable,” the insider revealed at the time, noting that this is Lipa’s “first serious relationship she’s had in the past few years.”
According to the source, the duo “travel together” and have “met each other’s families,” who gave their “blessing” on the romance.

Lipa and Turner’s chemistry is apparent too, with the insider telling Us that “the attraction is definitely there” although she “appreciates Callum for so much more than just his physical appearance.” For instance, Turner treats Lipa with “nothing but respect and he always makes her feel safe when she’s in his presence.”
