Jessica Chastain is not happy after taking a recent flight with JetBlue.
The Good Nurse actress snapped at the airline via X after its in-flight entertainment system reportedly didn’t work during her six-hour flight.
Posting via her social media account, a disgruntled Chastain aired her displeasure at receiving a $15 credit after the incident – an amount she apparently deemed insufficient.
“Thank you @JetBlue for your $15.00 credit,” Chastain wrote via X. “My flight was US$1500 and the credit is 1/100 of the money I paid you.”
She continued: “Strange that I paid that for your flight entertainment system that didn’t work for the duration of my 6hr flight, but I guess it was worth it for this $15 credit.”
JetBlue’s in-flight entertainment is usually a free inclusion on trips with the budget carrier.
Chastain also shared a screenshot of a conversation with a customer representative that confirmed she had received the credit for the malfunctioning entertainment system.
“The flight attendants issued the $15 each for the TV outage,” the message from a JetBlue representative to Chastain reads.
In response, the actress expressed her frustration about the amount, given how much she had spent on tickets.
“I understand but I spent $1500 on the flight and so did my husband. There should be some flight credit or something since I have a TrueBlue account and have been a loyal customer,” Chastain wrote.
Despite her complaints, the screenshot showed the JetBlue agent apologizing and replying that “there is not more I can do.”
Chastain has nearly a million followers on the social media platform after finding fame with her breakthrough role in Tree Of Life in 2011.
Over the years, she’s also appeared in The Help (2011), Zero Dark Thirty (2012), Scenes From a Marriage (2021) and more.
Despite speculation she’ll star in the screen adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s best-selling book, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Chastain has hosed down the swirling rumors.
The actress confirmed there was “zero possibility” she’d portray Celia St. James in the upcoming Netflix adaptation.
“But I love how excited the fans are,” she told E! News in an interview published in December, 2023. “When I was working on Broadway, every single day, they’d be outside, when I was signing, with the books. I just love how wonderful that fan base is.”
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo follows fictional Hollywood legend Evelyn Hugo, who recounts her life story to reporter Monique Grant. As her story unfolds, readers learn about her time as an actress during the Golden Age of Hollywood and her notable seven husbands.
