Molly-Mae Hague has broken her silence months after a surprising split from Tommy Fury.
Hague, 25, spoke to British Vogue for her first interview after posting an Instagram Story in August revealing that she and Fury, 25, had broken off their engagement. The Love Island U.K. alums share 21-month-old daughter Bambi.
“No one will ever really know what went down apart from Tommy and I, and that’s how we’d like to keep it, for Bambi’s sake,” Hague told the magazine in a profile published on Friday, November 15. “I do think that he will talk about things eventually. I do think that when he’s ready, like, maybe more will be said. But I think that’s for him to do on his terms.”
After Hague posted her social media statement, rumors that Fury cheated started swirling online. He has since denied any infidelity.
“People were saying, it’s Princess Diana and Charles,” Hague recalled during her British Vogue interview, referring to the years-long affair King Charles III had with now-Queen Camilla while he was married to Princess Diana.
However, Hague made it clear that what went down between her and Fury is “real life” and not just for public consumption.
“It’s not like it’s gossip,” she continued. “It’s a really deep situation. It’s really sad.”
Hague and Fury met in 2019 when they both appeared on season 5 of Love Island U.K. They were quick to couple up and finished on the reality show in second place. They welcomed Bambi in January 2023, and Fury proposed in July of that year. Their wedding was set for September 2025.
“It was a bit of a shock,” Hague admitted to British Vogue of the breakup. “I didn’t want what happened to happen.”
Despite the split, Hague said she still has “a lot of love and respect” for Fury. As for coparenting their daughter, she said they’re both being “really mature about it.”
Hague said that, initially, she had a hard time getting through the split. But her inner circle rallied beside her.
“It’s literally like four friends,” she said. “That’s about it, really. It just works best that way, because then you know the people that are around you are genuinely there for the right reasons.”
As for what’s next? Hague is gearing up to be the subject of an upcoming Prime Video documentary, which started filming just as she split from Fury.
“So far, so good,” she said of the filming process. “I’ve not lost my mind yet with the cameras in my house all the time.”
