When you’re a parent, sometimes you’ve got to get creative to make things work.
Brittany Mahomes, 29, proved this when she shared via her Instagram Story on Wednesday, January 1 how she managed to squeeze in a workout while pregnant and with two young kids in tow.
In the clip, the heavily pregnant star can be seen doing reps with hand weights while daughter Sterling, 3, sat on her mom’s head while dressed in pink pajamas.
Meanwhile, Brittany’s son Bronze, 2, watches on from the floor below.
Heavily pregnant Brittany is expecting her third child with NFL star husband Patrick Mahomes “any day now” and her workout attire showed off her blossoming baby bump.
Brittany and Patrick, 29, announced in July that they were gearing up to welcome baby No. 3. “Round three, here we come,” they shared in a joint Instagram post at the time.
Patrick offered a post-game update on his wife’s pregnancy on Christmas Day after he and the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Pittsburgh Steelers, telling post-match reporters that Brittany is gearing up to give birth “any day now.”
“Brittany says I’ve been stressing her out too much this season,” Patrick added. “So, I gotta try not to put so much stress on her through these football games — and get the bye.”
The couple first met as teenagers in high school, before getting engaged in 2020 after eight years together. They later tied the knot in March 2022.
Patrick has been open about their third child being the couple’s last addition to the family, telling reporters in July that his family will then be complete.
“I said three and I’m done,” the quarterback told reporters at the Kansas City Chiefs training camp press conference. “I always wanted to have kids young. I got to grow up in a locker room, and it made such an impact in my life. We’re on our third kid now. … Brittany does a great job of doing that and we still go out and enjoy our life.”
Patrick has also previously heaped praise on his wife, applauding Brittany for her parenting skills.
“I think people don’t even realize how much she does,” the athlete said during a May appearance on the “Impaulsive” podcast. “I mean, taking care of the day-to-day stuff and make it where I can focus on football and focus on my craft and everything like that.”
He added: “[She’s] a Hall of Fame mom and a Hall of Fame wife, [which] makes it a lot easier. I mean, when you get to come home and your best friend’s there and you can just hang out, it makes you want to be there all the time and she pushes me to be great and she’s done a lot of great things herself.”
