The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt welcomed her third baby with husband Connor Leavitt following the reality show’s premiere.
Whitney and Connor welcomed son Billy Gene Leavitt on Wednesday, October 24, the couple confirmed to People.
“We are most excited about having our family complete. We’ve always wanted three kids and we’re so happy everyone’s here now,” Whitney told the outlet in an article published on Monday, October 28.
“We’ve always waited to name our children after meeting them, but with Billy, we fell in love with the name immediately — even before meeting him,” Whitney explained of her newborn’s name. “We loved the gender neutrality in the name since we weren’t finding out the baby’s gender until delivery, which we’ve never done before. The name allowed us to feel connected to the baby without knowing the gender.”
Whitney, 31, shared her pregnancy news in April. “Very excited to announce after a lot of hard work we are finally PREGNANT!!!!!” she wrote in an Instagram video of her and Connor dancing together.
In September, Whitney posted a throwback clip of the couple — who tied the knot in August 2016 and previously welcomed daughter Sedona in November 2019 and son Liam in December 2021 — looking at her pregnancy test results and happily embracing when they discovered it was positive.
“The pregnancy test that will go down in history 🎂😂,” she captioned the video, referring to the test being put inside a cake she brought to a family gathering in an episode of the Hulu series. “I can not [sic] wait to meet you bb! And to find out if we’re having a bb girl 💖 or bb boy 💙. You’re already so loved!”
Later that month, Whitney showed off her baby bump in a photo shoot with Connor and their two children. “Last family photos with just us 4 🥹🤧💖,” she wrote. “We can not [sic] wait to meet you next month bb 🤍.”
Whitney’s personal life took center stage during season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which premiered in September. In addition to her drama with the MomTok group, she divulged that Connor had dealt with a porn addiction and created a Tinder account during their marriage.
After the reality show dropped, Whitney addressed the status of her marriage.
“Love that man,” she said on “The Squeeze” podcast in September. “There were a lot of powerful moments between Connor and I that weren’t [included] in the season, which is OK — I’m not the editor. There’s this moment where we’re filming the pilot and the showrunner asked us about [why] we left for Hawaii and it wasn’t this conversation of us bringing this onto the show. It wasn’t some preconceived conversation that Connor and I had.”
She added: “Connor just looked at me and shared everything. It was so vulnerable and so emotional and so incredibly powerful. I’m so proud of him for that because that needed to be a decision from him not from me.”
Whitney explained that Connor “had a porn addiction for a really long time and that was something that was, obviously, really hard to overcome,” noting that she “didn’t even know that was going on.”
However, she insisted that the issue helped to strengthen their marriage. “When you go through something that tough and you come out the other end, man, your relationship is stronger than ever,” she said. “During, it sucks, but holy hell, I’m grateful for where we are now.”
After considering whether she wanted to rebuild trust with Connor, Whitney is happy with where they ended up. “That doesn’t mean that things aren’t still triggering to me,” she concluded. “When it is, then I’m going to work it out and just keep moving forward.”
