Ronin, an EVM-based blockchain, is boasting multiple new studios on its blockchain, Sky Mavis announced today.
These studios — including Cambria, Infomon, Kuroro Beasts, Last Odyssey, Party Icons, Pixel Heroes Adventure, and Xtremeverse — are part of an initiative to use the Ronin blockchain for brand new Web3 games while also providing select studios with up to $50,000 in funding.
Ronin itself is an Ethereum virtual machine blockchain designed specifically with gaming in mind. Designed by Sky Mavis, the creator of Web3 hit Axie Infinity to the tune of $1.3 billion in revenue, Ronin’s blockchain created to scale a single game to accommodate millions of daily active users with over $4 billion in NFT volumes.
The chosen studios represent a wide diversity in game types, including a risk-based MMORPG, a Pokemon Go-like based in the United Kingdom, a 5X strategy game, and more.
